Mice occasionally cooperate with honey bees for mutual benefit. The mice feed the honey bees and protect their hives. In return they harvest some of the honey for consumption and use the wax for goods and medicinal purposes.[1]
The Mouse Guard citadel Lockhaven housed a honey bee hive, which was tended by the apiary keeper for their precious honey used to trade with other settlements. During the fall of 1152, the Guard loosed these bees upon Midnight's army, decimating the hostile force.[2]
