Great Horned Owls are dangerous predators who hunt mice, rabbits, skunks, porcupines, snakes and even other birds. While its "horns" are just tufted feathers, the great horned owl has excellent hearing. It hunts year-round and doesn't build its own nest; it captures the nests of crows and hawks.[1]
