The Axe army charges through Lockhaven

The Axe Army was a group of rebellious mice which, during the fall of 1152, sought take over the Mouse Territories, under the guidance of the traitorous Guardmouse Midnight.

After the attempt to capture Lockhaven failed, Midnight was marched beyond the Scent Border, and the one-hundred and fourteen surviving members of his army disbanded and returned to Barkstone. Only three were imprisoned by their local governments.
